MASTERCLASS - Content marketing techniques and social trends
As part of the European INTERREG 2 Seas project 'PROFIT', Visit Kent set up an innovation masterclass programme for tourism business in Kent. This session took place on Monday 3rd December 2018 at Dreamland, Margate with introductions from Raluca Brebeanu at Visit Kent with a state of play on the new Visit Kent visitor first strategy that PROFIT has helped to create and engage tourism visitors and the industry in its design. Raluca was followed by an in-depth introduction from Nick Hall, CEO of Digital Tourism Think Tank on using content marketing techniques effectively in our business and provided an insight into social trends. The session covered the use of visual and storytelling content, the use of social platforms looking at content, engagement and social interactions. The masterclass helped tourism businesses to develop ideas around content, using design thinking methods and exercises, providing attendees with practical takeaways to incorporate into the business.
